Concept
“Wu Xing”, or the Five Phases theory, is a concept in Chinese philosophy used to explain a wide range of phenomena from cosmology to human anatomy in terms of dynamic processes and transformations.
The five phases are metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. They interact and relate to each other in a balanced manner.
This piece is an experiment on how Wu Xing can be conveyed through fashion, a tangible presentation that connects the hidden balance within the human body and between the human body and the environment.
